1. Easy Elderflower & lemon spritz

Elderflower blooms in full swing in the summertime in the UK, and the best way to enjoy it is a refreshing, tasty drink. Make fresh elderflower syrup (or store-bought!) by combining sugar, citric acid and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved (avoid boiling) and remove from heat to allow to cool.

Easy Elderflower & lemon spritz

Trim your elderflower stems and place the blossoms into a jar with lemon slices, pouring in the sugar mixture and allowing to rest for 48 hours in the fridge. Stir once daily and strain when ready and there you have it, homemade elderflower spritzes! Mix with soda water for a summery, tasty drink and serve in the Ada Set of 4 Crystal Large Tumblers for the perfect clear glass to admire your homemade beverage.

Measurements, for 1 L:

  • 800 g sugar
  • 540 ml water
  • 28 g citric acid
  • 19 large elderflower heads
  • 1 lemon

2. British Strawberries & cream – A simple classic dessert

A classic in the British summertime, this sweet dish can be enjoyed any time of day, as a breakfast, dessert or a refreshing lunchtime treat. Juicy, ripe strawberries grown in the UK are some of the bests out there due to the fluctuating warm/cold climate, producing sweet berries every year. Serve up with the Fleur Set of Four Clear Dessert Dishes and a dollop of fresh cream.

3. Rhubarb cooler – An easy homemade refreshment

Rhubarb is another easy-to-grow gem within the UK, ideal for home garden spaces. It can be a little torte but works well with some sparkling water or lemonade for a refreshing, cooling drink. Create the rhubarb syrup from scratch by cutting into pieces, adding to a pot of water with some sugar and bringing to the boil.

Reduce the heat and simmer for a further 15-20 minutes, straining the syrup afterwards into a storage container to finish off your syrup. Pair with a wedge of lime for a tangy twist, sitting perfectly in the Fleur Set of Four Clear Highball Glasses. Store your homemade syrup in a Freska glass jar to maintain freshness and enjoy when you like!

Measurements per 3 cups of syrup:

  • 900 g rhubarb
  • 950 ml water
  • 350 g sugar
